On Halloween last year, Molly Lewis, Sara Chicazul, Marian Call and The Doubleclicks (among others!) Dressed up as “Sexy” w00tstock. I finally got around to drawing some of them!
I went back and revisited my Legend of Neil fanarts, hoping to maybe be considered for DVD inclusion. Do they seem worthy of doing something similar to what I did with the GeekGirlCon Concert fanart? I mean, medical stuff that isn’t covered by insurance ain’t cheap, we’re being forced to move due to construction, and there’s just a lot of crazy stuff going on I can’t do anything about. Needs just keep piling up. *shrug*

I’m really hoping I can get tickets to see Marc Maron in November. He’s playing at The Neptune, a sea-themed theater so…
There’s a neat little restaurant nearby called “Nook“. I kind of love them (locally owned, tasty, cheap-ish, friendly couple who make/run the place), so I made this for them…

Steamcon! This weekend! I don’t know if I’ll be able to get printer ink, but if I can, I will try to make 50 or so buttons to have as freebies for people checking out my art at the art show! I feel like I made 100 last year, and they obviously evaporated. I would like to do more, but I made not have enough supplies left. I also may not be able to, because my ulnar nerve entrapment is going cray-zeee (the machine is all manual).

Shoe fund currently at $20. The goal is so I can afford something like this or this, it really depends on what I can find that feels right and meets doctors’ requirements. I currently have been relying on a pair of Merrells because they suit my needs pretty well, but I had to sacrifice my pink toes. I also plan to go to my favorite shoe store with the excellent return and exchange policy, because they offer decent discounts.

Update #4: $65! Shoes tried on (more than a dozen!), bought (not quite enough funds, but I pinched some pennies), ready for return/exchange, special order in process. Complicated!
I went to a free-ish (I at least brought arts!) house concert for The Doubleclicks recently. The hostess had a guestbook for doodles, this is what I put in it. I call it “Maximilian Possession”. Become a fan of theirs and you may eventually figure it out!

Back from the Marian Call concert! It was an awesome, and extended show (I assume this is because it was being recorded). 3rd time I have had the good fortune to catch her live, and WHEEEEEE!
I was able to give copies of fan art to her AND The Doubleclicks after the show. I think I like this thing of bringing gifts for awesome performers!
I feel like there should be more to say, but I am so sleepy! Another time, perhaps.
Kind of a short post today! Sorry, I just have a lot to do right now. July is busy, busy, busy!

Speaking of books, I’m trying to figure out what to do about digital versions of “Pour Morir“, it looks terrible on Kindle (duh), barely passable on a Sony reader, and I have not year heard a peep about iPad (I’m not looking to re-create it for Kindle, it is meant for print, or something capable of decent resolution). For now I’ve dropped the Lulu e-book price to a buck fifty! One dollar and fifty cents. Ideally, I want to get it down to .99 – which technically I CAN do with Lulu, but I would make zero profit. I’m not sure what an easy way would be for digital distribution, PayPal won’t allow “adult content”, and while there isn’t anything pornographic in this comic, it has adult themes, so I can’t trust PayPal not to ban me or be nonsensical about it. Suggestions?
The Doubleclicks will be opening for Marian Call in Seattle in 2 weeks! I am excite! My favorites of theirs are “This Fantasy World (Dungeons and Dragons)” and “Ironically”.
